Staff and customers trapped in Britain's highest pub for days were finally able to escape on Thursday after snow fell.
23 visitors and six staff were stranded at the Tanhill Inn in Richmond, North Yorkshire, which had been forced into a “residents only” service since Sunday due to bad weather.
There was finally a sense of relief as the roads were cleared and tired residents were able to leave.
Located 1,732 feet (528 m) above sea level, Tan Hill Inn claims to be the highest public house in Britain.
