Anthony Patrick exchanged explicit images and messages with people described in court only as a service user, and gave money from his bank account, York Crown Court heard.
When he appeared on the plea and preparatory hearing for the trial, the 63-year-old former housing manager of Hezlewood Close pleaded guilty to a single charge of misconduct in public office by Burmatofuts.
At the request of Kevin Blunt, advocate for York recorder Judge Sean Morris, he sentenced probation officers to advocate, prepared a pre-sentence report, and released Patrick on bail.
“Don't read bail for signs about a sentence,” the judge warned Patrick. “These are serious issues. You need to expect custody, and you can set the issue down.”
Patrick will return to court on May 22nd. The illegal activity occurred between August 1, 2023 and October 10, 2023, and Patrick is no longer working for the council.
