Shôn Dale-Jones will perform at his first award-winning show, The Duke, Theater @41 Mongrate.
Duke, along with me and Robin Hood, another show on Dale Jones' show, raised over £100,000 for children's charity, on inequality, privilege and poverty.
The show was originally created in 2016 in response to the refugee crisis caused by the Syrian conflict.
Last year, it was rewritten and revived to deal with the worsening refugee crisis following conflicts and disasters around the world.
Dale-Jones' one-man show explores themes of kindness, generosity and the value of our actions.
It entangles the sad fate of the family heirloom, the porcelain of the Duke of Wellington, the moral dilemma of the screenwriter, and the disasters facing children fleeing their homes.
The writer and performer stated: “Every shows I make are made for a specific reason.
“We created Duke in 2016 because we wanted to find a way to do something practical about the refugee crisis.
“We couldn’t see more of the horrifying real-life images of these people suffering without contributing to the relief efforts.
“I'm not a doctor or an engineer – I'm a writer/performer, so I decided that I could write a show that would set us in crisis and raise money to support our children's refugees and crisis jobs.
“Now in 2025, I have returned to Duke as the refugee crisis became more extreme and politicized.
“We feel that reminding each other that we are talking about people is more important than ever.
“People like us.
“Finding solutions to a crisis can be complicated, but it's easy to practice empathy for innocent people whose lives are torn apart.”

In the UK, it has been performed at London theatres, including the Royal Court, the Barbican and the Soho Theatre.
The show has also become a radio play for BBC Radio 4.
As the revised show tours tour across England and Wales, we continue to invite viewers to donate to the charity after each performance.
Dale -Jones added:
“The show is a way to raise money and awareness. It is a conduit for urgent and immediate needs and we hope that our audience will empathize with us and participate in raising funds to support this cause.”
The Duke will be held on Thursday, March 20th at Theater @41 Mongkate, with a performance from 7:30pm.
