The new season of the BBC's Great British Menu is back on screen with legacy head chef Ahmed Abdallah at the Northeast & Yorkshire Heat Grand.

In his daily role, Ahmed leads the Grand Kitchen Brigade, a fine restaurant in York, to create exciting new dishes celebrating local and traditional Yorkshire produce inspired by the history of York's pioneering people .

Inside the restaurant (Photo provided) In a short time since the restaurant opened in 2022, Ahmed was awarded the restaurant three AA Rosettes at the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards 2023.
Ahmed's professional background includes York Restaurant, Scoche, Dale's Yole Bridge House, and restaurant Highwell Jones' stages include Lucknam Park and Whitley Manor's Restaurant-Dining Room.
In October 2023, (BIH) nonprofit organization (BIH) won Ahmed with the Chef of the Year Award.

The show will return for Series 20 on BBC 2 on January 28th, leading the nation's most talented chefs to the test. It airs every Tuesday through Thursday, at 8pm on BBC 2 for eight weeks.
The series has been announced by Andy Oliver, with the usual judges being Tom Kellige, Ed Gamble and this year Lorna Mcney.
The Northeast & Yorkshire heat will begin on Tuesday, February 18th at 8pm on BBC 2 and iPlayer.
