Battery Sergeant Major Michael Webber had to apologise to Gunner Jaisley Beck, 19, who was originally from Bradford.
The teenage soldier filed a complaint about an officer who was subsequently promoted to police following his stay on Thorny Island near Emsworth, Hampshire, in July 2021 for an adventure training exercise.
Gunner Beck claims that Wo2 Webber told her “we had been waiting a little while for them to be alone,” and before grabbing her by the foot and trying to kiss her, she went to a drinking game called Last Man. He said he got engaged.
The Salisbury Coroner's Court heard Gunner Beck had driven out the senior officers, spent the night in her car and left the room in the morning before filing a complaint with her boss.
WO2 Webber has received a small administrative action and wrote an apology letter to Gunner Beck.
Five months later, Gunnerbeck, who served as a royal artillery, was found hanging in a room at Larkhill camp in Wiltshire.
Gunner Beck's friend Bombardier George Young told the question that he would open up to him, saying her complaints about WO2 Webber were “crushed.”
“He wasn't removed from the post or anything like that,” he said.
“What I know about how the disciplinary system works is that, whether it's an apology or not, the person must be removed from the mail during an investigation.”
The survey hears Gunner Beck has received thousands of messages from another senior colleague, Bombardier Ryan Mason.
BMDR Young said he encouraged him to report the incident with BMDR Mason.
“Then it came out in a kind of conversation about Thorney, and she reported it, and this is what happened,” he told the investigation.
“I believe that from what she was telling me she doesn't want to look like that girl who was constantly complaining.
“I was worried that from what she was saying, she would be seen as causing drama. Her biggest fear was…love her job.
“She was worried that she would just remove her from the situation, not address the issue.”

Coroner Aide Nicholas Rhineberg suggested to the witness that he appears to have been “enthussed” at the outcome of the case with WO2 Weber.
“I think she cared a lot about people. She outweighed their happiness and didn't want to bother them even though it wasn't right,” Bmdr Young said. .
“The situation was clearly not normal.
“I don't know what the conversation is about getting an apology letter in the first place, but I was a gunner at the time, and certainly holds the ranks. Situation.
“Why is that acceptable outcome for that, especially for those with such high ranks.”
The investigation heard Gunner Beck is a “vibrant character,” and Bmdr Young added:
He said she was a very capable soldier and performed her duties “exceptionally.”
Bmdr Young said he was friends with Gunner Beck and had a brief relationship with her in the summer of 2021.
He investigated what she told him about BMDR Mason's behavior towards her.
“It became clear that his overall professional boundaries began to slip,” he said.
“As it became much more friendly, the boundary between the line manager and his subordinates has become that area. It's a bit grey.”
He told the questioning that in September 2021 she called in tears and told her that BMDR Mason had confessed his feelings to her, and that he repeated it again the following day.
“Usually, if someone moves forward to you, confesses their feelings and you don't show mutual feelings, you expect them to take the hint and move on,” Bmdr Young said.
“Even though it's said, 'No, there's nothing here,' I think the enduring pursuit extends to multiple texts, phone calls and threats to do something to yourself. I'm not saying I'm healthy. ”
He replied, being asked to explain Gunner Beck's reaction to this behavior. “It was stressful. You can say it was stressful. She said it was stressful.

“I don't think she'll feel particularly comfortable while she's at work.”
The court heard that BMDR Mason's actions had “surged” a few weeks before her death, leading to another incident in a training exercise in December.
Bmdr Young told the hearing:
He said he picked her up from the hotel where she was staying and took her to Lark Hill camp.
“She said the strength of her actions really got stronger in terms of what's been said. I think he tried to knock on the door of her hotel room,” he said.
“Later that week, he told her he told her he would take himself away from the team for personal reasons.
“That doesn't mean that when she says he's leaving the team anyway, you don't have to report it.”
The hearing continues.
