Audrey Woodhouse, founder of Honest speech Ltd, established her business from the North Wing offices of the Wesley Center in the Saville Street Buildings, Malton.
Speaking Honestly provides personal coaching and coaching to speak with confidence.
An important landmark for Malton and Ryedale, the Wesley Center is undergoing an innovative capital project that will create a vibrant new community and event space.
Three floors of retail and office space in the north building provide an additional revenue stream to ensure the sustainability of the iconic building.
Paul Emberley, Wesley Center Development Lead, said: This building is located in the heart of our market town. It is part of our future strategy to provide a home base for local start-ups, as well as much-needed meeting and event space for the wider community. ”
Recognized as an important hub of culture and community, the Wesley Center has been at the heart of Malton for over two centuries.
While the remaining construction continues, the doors are gradually opening to a variety of community activities and cultural events. The final stages of its restoration and transformation are expected to be completed late next year.
Audrey said of her business: How to Speak Honestly combines my expertise in voice work, communication and performance skills with respected coaching methods. After many years of study and research, I was able to launch a unique service that combines speaking consulting and self-development coaching. It's great that my business can partially contribute by being based at the Arts Center in Malton. Art has always been part of my passion. ”
She added: “My new office space in Malton is an exciting chapter for Honesty and shows that private and not-for-profit organizations can work together for mutual benefit.”
Paul added: “Diversified revenue streams will support the ongoing refurbishment of the center into a community hub and 600-seat venue.” Combined with revenue from a new community cafe scheduled to open in the coming months, ticket sales from classical music performances, and community employment, the Wesley Center is poised to truly become a vibrant hub for the community. That's what I'm aiming for. ”
