British Transport Police officers investigating reports of theft on trains traveling between York and Durham have released CCTV images of the bag being stolen.
A force spokesperson said: “At around 5pm on October 23, a woman was traveling by train to Newcastle. As she was finishing up her mission, she noticed her bag was missing and called police.”
“Officers believe the woman seen in the CCTV footage may have information that could assist the investigation.
“If you recognize her or have any other information please contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting number 2400132998. please.”
