Articulate Agency specializes in child and teenage actors, and a spokesperson for the Baildon firm said it had seen a five-fold increase in cast roles over the past six years, with more than 150 actors cast so far this year. I admitted that.
Additionally, approximately 500 children are currently filming the roles of supporting artists (who do not speak).
The BBC is committing £34m to children's content between 2022 and 2025, demonstrating its commitment to this area.
The agency says children's TV is big business, with the rise of bespoke streaming channels aimed at children such as Netflix, Disney and Sky, as well as CBeebies and Milkshake.
Based at Briar Ridding House, Otley Road, Baildon, Articulate Agency is widely used by major casting directors.
We also run drama schools across the county, helping to break down barriers.
According to research by the Creative Industries Policy Evidence Center, just over 8 per cent of creators working in film, television and radio are from working class backgrounds, and more than 60 per cent are middle or upper class.
Stacey Burrows, founder and director of Articulate Agency, said: “The growing demand for child actors on television is opening up incredible opportunities for young talent.
“We are incredibly proud to be able to develop raw talent across the UK and create transformative opportunities for children and teenagers from diverse backgrounds.”
We offer drama classes and clubs, as well as numerous scholarships.
One of the teens who won the scholarship is currently starring in a major Netflix drama.
Stacey said:
“While some actors have appeared in major productions, most have had regular roles or had their breakout role on children’s TV shows.
“As an ethics agency that puts the welfare of children and young people first, we want to highlight the incredible benefits that acting can bring to young people.
“It strengthens your muscle memory, emotional intelligence, resilience, confidence and communication skills. No matter what career you pursue, you'll gain skills that will last a lifetime.”
Articulate Agency has secured key roles for child (ages 4-15) and young adult (ages 16-25) actors.
