Owners John and Carol Sammons opened the business more than a quarter of a century ago and have attracted a dedicated team, some of whom have worked with them since the early days.
“We try to keep things traditional with our menu, and some of our staff have been with us for over 20 years,” said Katie Sammons, the couple's daughter who works at the cafe.
“At Baileys we have a great team who maintain high standards both in food hygiene levels and customer service and look out for each other. Everyone is so loyal and dedicated and we are a great group of friends. , which means the work is not tedious.
“We have 14 core staff members, but the team has a total of 25 people.
“We have a girl who started working with us when she was a teenager and is still here 25 years later. Lisa Blackburn is our cafe manager and her colleague Samantha Both Pullmans have great jobs and have been for over 20 years. My son, Henry Sammons, 15, also works as a pot washer.
The Food Standards Agency has given Baileys a clean rating of 'Good' across the board in all areas, from the hygienic handling of food such as cooking, cooking, reheating, cooling and storage to food safety management. given a health certificate.
“We've stuck to the same menu for years, but we know people come in and love the fact that they can get what they want and it's never going to change, so we've tweaked it a little bit. ” said Katie.

Baileys is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
