New year and new to Nunnington's talent after signing a competitive Italian F4 Championship and Euro 4 contract in 2025 with famous Swiss team Jensor Motorsport to compete in the Winter Series It's a challenge.
Surprisingly, Jensor has never raced at Portimao in his 32-year history, but there is plenty of aggressiveness in the Algarve after the weekend.
Although there was no historical data or knowledge about the car setup, everyone was happy with the results, and all four drivers on the team raced well with a relative level of experience.
Bart played solidly, recording two 7th and 8th place finishes in three races. One of them promoted the order after another competitor was ruled out due to technical irregularities in the car.
In fact, the 17-year-old actually led race 3 on his first start from the P10, then rebooted with a flag from the red due to a start light issue.
“Race 3 went well and we got a lead from the first start, but unfortunately it was red flagged and we returned to 10th,” he said on social media.
“But we made it to the seventh, stayed in seventh overall in the race and lost it on the line on the final lap.
“We scored points in all three races in Round 1, but there's nothing to complain about as the pace is pretty promising. We're looking forward to Round 2.”
Burt will return to action in the next round of the Formula Winter Series, held in Valencia from February 13th-16th.
