Based on AA Dhand's bestselling novel, the six-part series is set and is shot entirely in Bradford.
It tells the story of Detective Harry Vildie (Nia), a dedicated police officer who has become estranged from his Sikh family after marrying Zaima, a Muslim woman.
The Radio Times outline states: “The war on the grass is brewing in the abdomen of the city.

“When a young dealer is murdered, Harry's duty to follow the law clashes with links with members of a criminal gang.
“In the midst of his personal life, he has to corner anyone who is targeting people around him.
“The killers hold the entire city for ransom, but Harry realized he needed the help of his brother-in-law Rias, the drug kingpin who runs the largest cartel in the county.
“Gathering together in an alliance that could ruin both, Harry has to make a choice. He can save himself and his family, or save his city. He will have both I can't do it.”
As reported by what we see, Nia discusses taking on the lead role, saying, “This vibrantness about assimilating culture and what we do to protect our loved ones.” It is an absolute honor to take on a complicated story.
