The Queen of British Soul will join the Take That star on her 2025 UK tour, which will include a headline show at TK Maxx Presents Live at The Peace Hall.
An Olivier Award-winning West End star and hugely successful singer with a prolific music career, Beverley has achieved top 10 albums in the UK and sold over one million albums. Her tour “50'' last year was in celebration of the release of her album “The Fifth Chapter.'' Born in Wolverhampton, Beverley made her West End debut in The Bodyguard. Since then, she's played roles such as Grizabella in Cats and Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act, and this spring she played the godmother of rock and roll in her first professional play, Marie and Rosetta. She will play Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
Beverley was awarded an MBE in 2007 for services to British music and philanthropy, is a three-time MOBO Award winner, has been nominated for Best Female at the BRIT Awards three times, and won Best Female at the Mercury Music Prize. It was nominated for the Album Award. Last year, she also won the Outstanding Contribution to Diversity Award at the European Diversity Awards and was also recognized in the Ethnicity Award for her continued efforts in this field.
Beverley is a long-time friend of Gary Barlow and joined Take That on their first UK tour since reuniting in 2006. She also dueted with Gary on the single “Enough Is Enough” from his last album, Music Played by Humans.
The Songbook Tour will celebrate Gary's 40-year career and will perform songs from his back catalog of hits both with Take That and as a solo artist.
