The 1100-member organization has announced Fossgate's Blue Bell as Pub of the Year. Clenthorpe is the Bishopthorpe Sports and Social Club on Bishopthorpe Main Street as Cider Pub of the Year.
In addition to York City, the York Kamra branch area covers the area south of Selby, almost towards A1 (highway) to Thirsk and North Yorkshire Moors, and east towards Malton and Market Waitson.
Chris Treguellis, chairman of the York Kamra branch, says a huge number of pubs in and out of York City will be a tough choice by branch members.

However, Blue Bell is the winner of 2025. Because it's small, but you can always sit in your seat.

Additionally, Bluebell has been running since 1798, and John Pivas and his wife Katie took over in 2015, becoming internationally famous, and was helped by a regular award victory, a famous battle with the brewery, and a book John wrote about the pub in 2023.
Chris added: “People are looking for that for good reason. It's a York landmark. We're really happy it won.”
Clementhorpe's slip-in is famous for its amazing beer, Chris continued.

The slip-in is owned by Paul Crossman. Paul Crossman also owns Black Swan, located on the road on Bishopgate Street, and was the winner of the 2024 Pub of the Year.
Chris said: “Slip-in is a super pub and is also famous for its cider. It's a step-up for slip-in, another string to their bow, another reason to go there.”
Bishop Soap Sports and Social Club at Main Street Bishop Soap is a regular Kamura winner. This is the sixth victory, like Club of the Year, and its final year in 2023.
Chris said: “It's always been friendly. They encourage visitors and people who are not members. There's always a great beer and they're trying hard.
“It's a club worth watching. It's always a regular winner. We always enjoy it whenever we go there.”
In response to yet another award victory, John Paibas posted on social media.
“We would like to thank the friendly, funny, most welcome and most welcome a pub can ever have because when we look forward to coming to work, it's because we'll be joking with you. Your support means the world to us.
“Thank you to all the brewers and breweries for providing the tools to work together. We're wearing hats to everyone at Sam and Brass Castle for the relentless brewing of our home IPA – it's truly the best IPA!
“And last but certainly thank all the local Kamla members who voted for us, keeping the beer perfect for you will get you out of bed in the morning.
Slip-In manager Harry Cook said winning the Best Cider Pub award was a “great acclaim” and added that “lovely people come to the pub.”
Slip, which beat the winner of last year's cider, keeps the high pet gart's three-legged mare in chips at all times, offering two spinning craft ciders with a wide range of ships and keg beer in the barrel.

Harry told the media:
“Hopefully, this award is another good way to put our name there and show that we're doing good.”
Finally, Dawn Paylor, club secretary at Bishopthorpe Sports and Social Club, said everyone at the club is pleased with more Camra recognition.
Dawn said: “This is a testament to every team who works hard to always provide a great selection of authentic ales for members and guests to enjoy.”
The club, which takes over Club of the Year from York Sports Club, has since 1946 with over 500 members, 13 committees and a “very hardworking team of staff.”
Club president Martin Scott took office for 20 years, while committee member Len Wilkinson, who works in the '80s, retired last year after 30 years of faithful service.
Dawn added: “The club offers a warm welcome and relaxing atmosphere on Sky and TNT Sport on TV, large screens, pools and snookers, and is used for private parties and hosts a variety of events.
“The membership costs £6 a year. It offers a wide range of casque ales, lagers, cider, soft drinks, alcohol-free options, hot drinks, sweets and snacks.”
The presentation will be held at Bishopthorpe Sports and Social Club on Friday, April 25th and Friday, March 28th, and at The Slip Inn on Thursday, June 19th.
