County police say a man was hit by a car in Eastfield, Scarborough.
It happened at 10.45am on Saturday (January 18) on Caton Law Road, just outside Proudfoot.
A police spokesperson said, “A white BMW was involved.The man who was hit was not seriously injured, and the driver, a man in his 60s, was arrested in connection with the investigation.''
“We are appealing in particular to anyone who witnessed this incident at the time or who has dashcam footage at this time to come forward with information.
