Flamborough's North Landing provided a picturesque setting for the 'dippers' who took to the water at around 11am this morning (December 26).
Crowds began to gather around 10:30 a.m. on a foggy morning, onlookers said, with some of the hardy dippers remaining in the water for as long as 15 minutes, and the last person to enter the water having two. “You're nosy,” Seal claimed, joining in.
Participants celebrating Boxing Day took part under the supervision of the Flamborough National Library, who also provided a safety briefing before entering the North Sea.
Staff at Boathouse Burger and Grill, based at the Old Lifeboat House in North Landing Beach, will be providing complimentary drinks to around 200 people and all proceeds from their participation will go to Southsea. He said the donation was made to Flamborough Kindergarten in Lords.
