Five Bradford Fighters were among eight fighters boxed at the city's first professional show at the Cedar Court Hotel on Saturday night.
Over 500 people, organized by local promoter Darren Burley, participated in an event that proved to be a great boxing evening.
Famous local heavyweight fighter Dan Gerber described his point victory over Wakefield-based Paul Marcin Prostko as a “composed and relaxed performance.”
Prostko went down in the second round, and a fierce fourth round quickly followed.
After the match, Gerber said: “We hope that this performance will ensure a place to be broadcast by Dozen at a major Toronto show.
“I'm busy right now. I beat Pavel Sour in Germany the previous week. It's no secret that this is my last year boxing. As long as my wallet is right, I'll fight at home or in a remote location, so I'm There is demand for it.”

Lawrence is fortunately unbelieving in the ring last, and he said: “I enjoy having scraps. I've been ready for longer matches for a few years now. I did.
“I am grateful to everyone who helped my fiancé organize my meals.
Woods predicts Lawrence's busy year.
He states: “Connor has shown he is a disciplined boxer capable of handling long matches. He will step in another 10 rounds this year against a much more challenging opponent and perhaps a regional title match. I hope for it.”
The 53-year-old promoter Burley is a lifelong lover of combat sports, competing in both judo and kickboxing as a young man, starting Ringstar Promotion three years ago.
Speaking about it, he said:
“It looked like there was a gap in the market so we just wanted to do something at Bradford, and our show is praised as boxing in small halls at its best.
“Shows like ours are the bedrock that underpins professional boxing. They often provide relatively unknown boxers, build solid records of achievements, and get fans who appreciate their closeness to action. We provide it.”
Fezan Shahid, Tauseef Suleman and Mohammed Subhaan of Bradford are three boxers. The 33-year-old flyweight Shahid “became an EC” after defeating Lancastria's Stephen Maguire, who took Shahid in his debut victory in 2021.
He said: “This was my first battle in my hometown. I was able to demonstrate the massive improvements being trained by Al Osta.”

Subhaan joined the professional ranks in 2022, closing the Cedar Court Show and offering cheerful opposition with a six-round victory over Zimbabwe-born Kent boxer Tatenda Mangombe.
He states: Boxing here means everything to me. I started at the age of 9 and am now 24. My ambition is to become the world champion who will bring a big boxing night to Bradford. ”
If this ultimately happened, Darren Burley made an important contribution to ensuring Subern's success.
