Bradford Derby Semi-Final follows the route of a single rover

Bradford claimed a 2-1 victory last night, facing Campion in the much-anticipated semi-final derby.

Campion played at a higher level than the non-league pyramid rover, winning surprisingly for himself two years ago.

However, Route 1 was the better side of the crash at Scotchman Road last night.

Neither side could find a breakthrough in the first half, but Danial Yasin gave the Rovers the lead 56 minutes later.

Campion was equal when Michael O'Brien led Nicky Boschel's free kick at home, but visitors returned to Annie Eunice with the remaining quarter.

And Rovers hard work until the full-time whistle paid off as they were able to celebrate their famous victory.

Like Campion, Northern County East League Premier Division champion Silsden suffered from semi-final heartache mid-week.

They were heading for the double towards the Tuesday night NCEL League Cup semi-finals in Beverly Town.

The Cobbydalers started brightly, Tom Greaves was ruled out on offside, and Robby Fox was nearly a few times.

However, the hosts began to take control after that bright start for the visitors and entered the break with a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Edward Burch and Cameron Connelly.

The away side looked like himself after the interval, and Tom Greaves quickly halved the deficit.

Silsden sues loudly after Fox appeared to have been knocked down into the box soon after, but the former Albion sportsman broke his efforts on the side net soon afterwards.

However, he volleyed the late equalizer before Casey Stewart found a far corner and placed the Cobb Bidarer in front of him.

Instead, it was Connery who pops up with the Stop Time winner, where Beverly wanted to break Silsden Hearts.
