Omar Akam, 29, was sentenced to 12 months in prison at Bradford Crown Court on Monday.
He was also disqualified from driving for 18 months.
Mr Akam, of Wilkinson Terrace, Lidgett Green, gave false details to police officers after receiving a notice of intent to prosecute for two speeding offenses committed on the M62 in June 2022.
Analysis of his cell phone data showed he was in the area on both occasions.
Akam was charged with perverting the course of justice.
He appeared at Bradford Crown Court on October 10 and pleaded guilty to both charges.
Speaking after the verdict, Rachel Wainwright, from West Yorkshire Police's Casualties and Prosecution Unit, said:
“Perverting the course of justice is a serious crime and we will always seek to prosecute those who attempt to evade penalties on these matters.”
