The Flying Squirrel on Clayton Road will close its doors on Monday and undergo a transformation that will take just three weeks.
Inns and Taverns in Marston, the company that owns the pub, have invested £306,000 to revitalize the flying squirrel with numerous improvements.
The renovation includes the addition of a large 4K screen showing TNT and Sky Sports, as well as the newly attached pool table and DARTS board.

A central partition divides the space and allows customers to enjoy everything they love under one roof.
The Marstons have released two sketches on what the bar and lounge area are expected to look like once the renovation is complete.

It opened at the end of 2018 after millions of pounds of development was completed.
The complex also features Greg, Starbucks, Aldi, Home Bargain, Herron Foods and Sue Rider Charity Shop.
The pub's name gives a nod to the history of the region as the Flying Squirrel was built on land previously owned by the famous Scott Motorcycle Company.
General Manager Harley Dawson said:
“Whether you're stopping by a pint to watch sports and enjoying a family meal with access to an outdoor playground or just catching up with a friend, the flying squirrel is a great place to make lasting memories.”
