Nabil Gorji, owner of Mezza Restaurant, said: I didn't know what to expect about the size of the event.
“There were some big restaurants on the list (of the 10 finalists),” said Nabil, who runs the restaurant along with his brother Rida. “We know what we do is good, but we're just in shock.”

The restaurant transformed from a grade 2 listed property that was devastated by his family. He said, “I'm passionate about food and culture and I take inspiration from my childhood memories of my time in Lebanon.”
“We are extremely honored to receive this award, especially at such an exciting time for Bradford,” Nabil said. “This recognition is a testament to the efforts of our dedicated team and the support of our loyal customers. We are excited to share our love for Lebanese cuisine with our community.”
