Construction work has resumed to provide 37 affordable homes at Hatton Bank in Ripon.
The project will deliver the home for affordable rent, rent for purchases and shared ownership, but faced some delays after the original contractor entered bankruptcy.
However, Yorkshire Housing announced that new contractor Jack Run has now begun work on the ground.
Hatton Bank is a key development for Yorkshire housing, transforming its previous warehouse sites into high quality homes in areas with high housing demand. With support from Homes in England, the scheme will help more people find affordable places to live in Ripon.
“We're looking forward to seeing you in the process of doing things,” said Steve Harrison, senior project manager at Yorkshire Housing. “It's great to see work reboot at Hatton Bank and we look forward to delivering these new homes for our community, we know there is a real demand for affordable housing in North Yorkshire.
The scheme initially secured Harrogate Borough Council's summary planning permission in 2021.
Development is expected to be completed by the end of October 2026.
