The Tea Room's website describes the Tea Room as a “small family-run business” and says: “Our aim is to be located in a beautiful suburb very close to the center of York, just off Clifton Green and close to… “With free parking, we aim to provide a true vintage experience.'' .
The website adds: “The owner, Nikki, has a passion for all things vintage, and the tea room is a treasure trove of bargains. Additionally, Nikki has carefully selected items that are vintage and available for purchase from local artisans. The atmosphere, of course.”
The closure of the tea room comes just weeks after the Old Gray Mare pub near Clifton Green closed in July and has not been open since.
The press tried to speak to the pub's bosses to find out what happened to the business.
The newest tenant took over in 2020 and has undergone extensive renovations both inside and out.
