Officers of the Bradford South Neighborhood Policing Team made the discovery on Beechwood Avenue in Widsey on Saturday.
Police said the cannabis has “dismantled” as it grows.
The team posted photos of the cannabis plant on social media.
The 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of interest in the production of a Class B controlled drug.
He was subsequently released under investigation and further inquiries were put on hold.
A West Yorkshire police spokesman said: “On Saturday, officers from the police team in the Bradford South neighborhood discovered and demolished cannabis cultivation on Widgie's property, which includes about 600 plants.
