The car was seen blocking Chat Hill Road in Thornton around 11.30pm on Friday.
After the crash, police found two women getting out of the car.
One of them was later arrested on suspicion of drinking over the legal limit.

A police spokesperson said: “At 11.34pm yesterday (Friday) police received a report of a car on its roof in Chathill Road, Thornton.
“Officers responded and found two women getting out of a car that was blocking the road.
“As a result of an investigation at the scene, a woman in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of drinking alcohol that exceeded the legal limit.
“The other person was examined for injuries and then taken home.
“The vehicle has since been recovered.
“The investigation is ongoing.”
