APW Properties appoints a new area manager
Alexandra Crocker is John D Wood & Co, owned nationwide. He has been appointed to the Area Manager role for APW Properties, which is part of the Network.
After seven years of business, Crocker will oversee the business at APW Properties in Cobham and Weybridge.
Crocker began his business journey as letting manager for John D. Wood & Company in Richmond. She later became senior head of Letting at Cobham and Wimbledon. The latest appointment was then made to join APW Properties as Area Manager.
She said: Having built relationships within these areas for years, we are known to strengthen our presence and offer exceptional service APW properties, and to further grow our key market share of our business I'm looking forward to it. ”

Director of Savills, named as Yorkshire Planning Head
Savills has announced the appointment of Planning Director Rebecca Housam as head of the Leeds-based planning team.
Housam will work with Jonathan Ainley of the Savills planning team in Manchester to lead the wider Savills Planning North team, consisting of Leeds and Manchester.
Since joining Savills Leeds as a graduate in 2012, Housam has made progress through business. She is also located in the York & North Yorkshire Property Forum Steering Group and the Leeds Property Forum Steering Group.
Housam said: Under Adam's leadership, we were directed on some outstanding projects and developed strong relationships throughout the region. This is something we want to continue building. ”

First Port Group will appoint HR Director
FirstPort Group, a leading provider of residential property management services, has appointed Andy Yarker as HR Director to lead the People Strategy of 3,000 colleagues based across the UK.
Yarker is responsible for providing strategic oversight across all HR activities, including recruitment, training, happiness, equality, diversity, and internal communication.
Yaker spent his career working in the military. Most recently, he was the leading people and support officer of the UK Army's number one ranked 30,000 department. He managed an interdisciplinary team-led project focused on improving retention, culture and training.
He also worked as a senior leader at the British Academy of Defence, where he was responsible for the mentoring and evaluating high-performance senior leaders. He also took on a senior role focused on workforce planning that provided robust strategic oversight to enable organizations' decisions regarding the effective use of resources.
Yarker said: “Through my career in the military, I have worked in a very complex environment, where clear and consistent communication and engagement with all my colleagues is essential to success.
