Cllr Lucy Steeles-Walshaw, Executive Member for Health, Social Care and Adult Social Care at York City Council, said: Survivors of domestic abuse.
“Going to work or visiting a customer-facing business may be one of the few opportunities for someone who has been abused to open up about what they are experiencing.
“It is critical that colleagues and employers recognize the red flags and create a safe workplace where employees and customers alike can speak up about abusive situations and receive the support they need.
“Domestic violence is everyone’s problem and I would like to invite members of York’s business community to join us for this important session to discuss how we can support victims and survivors and create greater safety for those affected. I encourage you to learn how you can make a place.”
