A dangerous driver who was involved in a high-speed police chase between Wyke and Halifax left his trainer behind as he fled the scene of the accident.
Bradford Crown Court heard on Monday how Gareth Warne took a Volkswagen Passat without his consent in May 2023 after police received an anonymous tip that he had been drinking raw vodka.
A police patrol spotted the car on Wilson Road, but Mr Warne, with a passenger inside, drove off at speeds up to 90mph.
An executioner who beat a woman and then attacked a man in an unrelated incident has been sentenced to three years in prison.
Bradford Crown Court heard how Jack Dawson regularly assaulted the woman by punching and kicking her over a period of two-and-a-half years, dragging her by the hair and destroying her furniture.
He also held a key in her face and threatened to stab her and “take her eyes out.”
A serial robber with a 40-year criminal history has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Sentencing Chris Dunn at Bradford Crown Court, His Honor Judge Jonathan Rhodes said Chris Dunn was trying to enter their homes to cause fear in people and to fund drug and alcohol abuse. He said he had been selling valuables to “for very little money.”
Describing Dunn's apology to the victim as “empty”, Judge Rose said: “Please think of the victim and not your own needs.”
A 22-year-old drug dealer was caught in a police sting and sent to prison along with his brother.
Adil Hussain was sentenced by a judge at Bradford Crown Court to 30 months in prison for selling heroin and cocaine on the streets of Keighley and Skipton over a two-month period in 2023.
His brother Daud Hussain, 25, was sentenced by the same judge to four years and four months in prison in July last year for trafficking class A drugs.
Both men were captured as part of Operation Saint Pond, a West Yorkshire Police operation targeting gangs operating in West and North Yorkshire, with a particular focus on Keighley.
Two more drug dealers have been locked up for trafficking heroin and cocaine on the streets of Keighley.
Yohan Shafi, 20, and Jameel Khan, 27, were both sentenced to 30 months for selling drugs to undercover police officers as part of an operation targeting drug trafficking in the town. has been sentenced to imprisonment.
Sentencing the men at Bradford Crown Court, His Honor Judge Colin Byrne said they were part of an “active market” that was part of a supply chain.
