As reported by the report, a black and white poster appeared on Paragon Street over the weekend.
It marks the president of the United States next to the word “The Turd Reich,” along with his vice president, JD Vance, and billionaire Elon Musk, adviser to President X and owner of Tesla.
Today (Monday, April 7th), Grow Up Art confirmed that a group based in the London area is behind the job.
A spokesman for the group, who asked to remain anonymous, told news outlets that the poster was inspired by “my anger in the current state of the world.”
The group chose the location outside the unused site next to York Barbican, where developer Persimmon submitted plans to build hundreds of new homes, after he spoke with artists in town and was looking at Google Street views.
Growing Art hopes that posters will “really speak for themselves,” the spokesman said.
The poster responded in York.
More than 100 comments were left in a press conference on this Facebook post.
“The wave of support and positive messages we received, and the global response this has gained, far outweighed negative comments,” a spokesman for Grow Up Art said. “…and hopefully, the message of love will conquer individuals who constantly spread hatred.”
They added that the group could freely download and print the posters and print them out, saying “there was a big response in the protests in the US over the weekend.”
