As reported by reports, 74-year-old Brian McClure passed away on Tuesday, February 18th following a crash in Castleford.
West Yorkshire police said Brian was a pedestrian in the incident. The unit said a man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the incident.
Brian, who first won his post as the honorary club secretary of York RUFC in 1987, was said to be one of the club's “most loyal, most loyal and beloved personalities.”
Currently, the club has released details of his funeral – this will take place on March 4th.
“The funeral of our sincerely beloved friend and supporter Brian McClure will be held at 12:30am on Tuesday, March 4th at Clifton Parish Church.
The day continues at York Sports Club on Shipton Road, York at 2pm.
The spokesman said, “People who intend to attend worship are encouraged to park in a sports club and walk to the church as there is no parking available at the church.”
Funeral donations are supported by the UK for prostate cancer. York Rufc said the family demanded not to have flowers.
