The dining room portion of the large family room is complete and while not much has changed, we did a few things worth mentioning.
before…
The previous dining room had colors that were too dark for us and actually gave us a bit of a headache. We expanded the space by knocking down walls, creating an open-plan room that includes a kitchen, cozy dining room, and playroom. . We also added another doorway to the dining room, leading to the downstairs toilet and built-in utility. This made the space appear larger with the help of repainting.
Progress…
Aesthetically, we've obviously repainted it, changed the flooring and baseboards, installed a new radiator, and repainted the windowsills from dark wood (here we've hacked the windowsills to a light wood look).
Ideally, I would put a rug under the dining table, but with a toddler, it will get ruined within a week, so I'm just sticking with the rug for now!
Finished!
