On April 1st last year, during a match between Leeds United and his team Hull City, Dallas Woods stood at the bar on the concourse of Leeds United's Elland Road West Stand and shouted at staff. I used abusive language.
Woods then returned to the stands, but returned to the bar later in the evening.
He was flagged down by a steward and was subsequently arrested by police.
Woods, who appeared before Leeds magistrates, admitted one charge of using threatening or abusive words or behavior likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Gull, 31, of Windsor Drive, was given a 12-month conditional discharge and was also given a three-year football ban, banning him from attending any professional football matches in the UK.
Also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £26 victim surcharge.
Speaking after the hearing, Chief Superintendent Jonathan Arousatch, of West Yorkshire Police, who was the match commander for the match, said: “Such foul, abusive and offensive language will not be tolerated and those who engage in this kind of behavior will not be tolerated. “They are not welcome on the football field.”
“Mr. Woods subjected the victim to a harrowing and frightening experience and was immediately arrested by officers at the scene after he was identified.
“West Yorkshire Police always treats incidents like this seriously.”
