As Christmas preparations get underway, festive knitted scenes are appearing above postboxes across York and beyond.
Readers have sent us photos of these clever works of art.
Helen Kendall sent us a photo snap of the outside of the Strensall Post Office that she and her team in Strensall and Huntington, Wisconsin, created. The topper depicts children holding hands around a Christmas tree.
April Watson sent us some images of the decorative toppers outside the Blueberry pop-up shop in Walmgate. It features a snow-covered knit blanket, trees, and even a robin.
Jonathan Fuller sent us two from the South Bank area of York. One was at the end of Balmoral Terrace, near the junction with Bishopthorpe Road, and the other was at the end of Queen Victoria Street, next to Fred's Bakery.
One reader found another featuring a Christmas elf in Aldeburgh, near Boroughbridge.
And Garry Hornby from the Press Camera Club sent us a photo of him holding a knitted snowman from Huntington, York.
