The town of Ilkley was on the road for two tricky ties in the West Riding County League in the Premier division.
Ilkley Town was away for Forge Way. He had players that were difficult to manage and they were fighting relegation themselves, but the BAHT-Bonnets got a 7-2 victory.
In a close, hard-fought battle with the Silsden Juniors, Ilkley entered the break 2-0 via Natt El Sterns and Jess Begby. In the second half, Ilkley was more dominant and deserved a 3-1 winner. A good crowd saw a great ad in local women's soccer.
Farsley Celtic concluded the season with a 5-1 victory with Mollytown at Woodkirk Valley.
These results mean that Farsley is currently at the top of the league, with both Ilkley and the Wyke Wanderers a point behind, but two games will play on April 13th and there is a possibility of a league decider between teams on April 27th.
The results also mean that Skipton retains membership in the Premier division at the expense of Forge Way.
Bradford City's U23 remains in Division 1 after beating Hepworth United in the basement 7-0.
Halifax Friendly lost to the Pontefract Collies and drew alongside Goole, but they already secured promotions from Division 4.
Halifax FC's FA WNL 'Home' game played against the Liverpool federal government.
Following a few set pieces, the Eagles advanced in an effort to pass through Sarah Essam and loop over the Keeper to a far corner. At 35', Liverpool equalized with a loop header on the far post leading to the corner. In five minutes, the Feds took the lead and scored points.
Halifax is currently facing several large Northern Premier Division games as it bids to maintain its Tier 3 status. Their work has now become so intense now as they saw a hopeful league restructuring, as they saw a setup that was expanded to include the WSL second team.
Halifax went on a mid-week date to Hull City and began the proceedings when Charlotte Salisbury Williams went into the box at 27 feet and Charlie Chadwick delivered a low ball over the goal to tap the house. At 56', the hull was equalized. However, on the final kick of the game, Daniel Witham cleared the winner.
Halifax was away at Stallbridge for a Mother's Day meeting.
Chloe Fisher moved the Eagles ahead with the watch under 20 inches. At 11', she judged the ball's bouncing off, and after finishing the goal, she calmly slotted the ball over the rush keeper. Soon after, her next touch with a big turn on the edge of the box is to rifle it into the lower corner after the left. At 75', Glassgirls pulled one back, but in one minute Sarah Essam restored a two-goal cushion with a lob on top of the keeper.
The town of Huddersfield continued to form well in Division 1 north of York City. A unique goal and strike from Charlotte Stuart gave Huddersfield a 2-1 victory. Their final match was at Bob Barry, Dry and Windy Staff Rex Arena, where they watched the Terrier secure a fierce fighting goalless draw against Chorley.
Leeds United fell into a narrow 3-2 defeat from Oakwell's Barnsley FC despite goals from Drew Green and Alice Hughes. However, touching on Amy Woodruff's impressive double, the double influenced the whites in a 2-0 home victory over Stockport County.
Turning to West Riding Girls' League, Brighouse Town Oranges U16 won the league in their third running, and after achieving success at the U15 level last season, they are heading for their second straight league and League Cup “double”.
Bradford City's U14 is already the league champion, and like the League Shield Final, there will be a county trophy final against the Forza U14.
Bradford-based Forza U12S wins the league, wins the County Shield Final and also has a League Cup final.
