North Yorkshire Police have released details of a chase that took place along the A64 and A162 at around 5am this morning (November 24).
Roads officers and a police helicopter were called to an area of the A64 near Bilborough Top Services following reports of an off-road vehicle traveling with a car.

Ten minutes later a pursuit began on the A162 as officers attempted to stop the John Deere Gator, but it sped away and was abandoned in Sherburn, Elmet.
The car believed to have been traveling with Gator was spotted by road officers near Micklefield and cordoned off.
The four occupants of the car, three men and one woman from West Yorkshire, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of motor vehicle theft.
A force spokesperson said: “We believe the Gator was stolen from the Humberside area and inquiries are ongoing to ascertain further information.”
Police are also searching for members of the public who have passed information to officers in Sherburn, Elmet, and are asking them to contact police by calling 101 and quoting reference number 12240214727.
