Frasers Group has acquired a 278-acre site at Ansty in a new global Mega-HQ in a £53.5m deal.
The major retailer bought the site from South Yorkshire-based Harworth Group after Rugby Borough Council granted planning permission for the major development last week.
Hurworth originally acquired interest in the site in October 2019 and completed further land acquisitions over the next two years.
Frasers Group, led by Mike Ashley, has submitted plans to move its headquarters from Shirebrook, Derbyshire, in October 2023, consolidating its warehouse operations into a single location.

Hurworth plans to reinvest the proceeds into infrastructure and development across the 9.6 million sq ft agreed 9.6m sq ft industrial and logistics pipeline.
