Sainsbury's is recalling its own brand onion rings as they may pose a health risk to some customers.
Onion rings contain milk, soy, and wheat (gluten), which are not listed on the label, making them dangerous for people with allergies or intolerances to these ingredients.
The expiry date of the target product is February 8, 2025, and it comes in a 125g package.

“Instead, return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund. Visit the Sainsbury's website for more information.”

“No other products are affected by this issue. Sainsbury's apologizes for any inconvenience caused.”
What is a product recall?
If a food product has a problem and should not be sold, it may be “withdrawn” (removed from shelves) or “recalled” (customers are asked to return the product).
The FSA issues product recall information notices and product recall information notices to inform consumers and local authorities about food-related issues.
In some cases, a Food Action Alert may be issued.
This provides local authorities with details of specific actions to take on behalf of consumers.
