Meet Gals FC, a fast-growing ladies' club, and rebel against maintaining their score.
Founded shortly after England's success in Euro 2022, the club is the creator of best friends, Lone McGill and Nora Bekazi.
The pair believes that the best way to play soccer for women is to abandon their scores completely, with a spirit focused on building a community of fun, friendship and confidence.

Instead of the judge, Gals FC has a “atmosphere guardian.” The role of volunteers is to make sure no one takes things too seriously.
In fact, the only thing they track and track rewards is session attendance.
You may question the appeal of such a club, but it has already proven to be a huge hit in London, Brighton and Ipswich, with 11 “communities” and over 250 members.
York marks the first expansion in the north of Gals FC, with the club hoping to establish it in Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester as well.
“We are very excited to see Gals FC grow into York, the first northern city,” says Magill.
“When we say we can play football, some people don't believe us, but at Gal FC we can really do it.
“We don't keep our scores, if everyone scores the goals we cheer on, no matter what team you are on.
“I feel very fortunate to build this incredible community in the world of women's soccer. There are so many opportunities.”
Gals FC has proven that “community” has been successful in London, Brighton and Ipswich and has hit the south. (Image: GALS FC)The impact has become clear, with 90% of the members saying their mental health has improved since joining the club, while 70% either don't play soccer in front of their children or just children.
Gals FC's expansion to York is led by Lucy Bolac Kature, who first began playing in Brighton but recently moved to the city.
She will be joined by Connie Bostock, who has attracted attention from media around the country and heard about the club.
As “vibe protectors,” they are tasked with creating a supportive and friendly environment for all players, whether they are experienced soccer players or kicking the ball for the first time.
