Cat Ferguson, 18, was awarded the 2024 Charles Arthur Rhodes Memorial Award at the High Adventure Education Center in Cowling, near Caley.

Due to Ferguson's busy race schedule and her upcoming departure to Spain as a Movistar expert, the presentation was made on weekdays.
Four Rhodes Councillors were present at the ceremony, including past recipients and friends.

Ferguson, the youngest recipient of the award in history, has already built a “impressive” record of victory and is considered to have a bright future in the sport.
Former award winners Keith Lambert (1991) and Keith & Joyce Webb (1996) also existed, with councillors Chris Good and Phil Hart.

The trustee, along with Yorkshire cycling enthusiasts, has expanded his best wishes to Ferguson for his future professional cycling career.
Ferguson, a native of Glusburn, won four events at the UCI World Junior Track Championships in August, becoming a World Junior Road Race Champion.
She was previously a member of the British Cycling Junior Academy and has now signed a two-year contract with the Movistar team, a professional road bike racing team.
