Betis serves 5.4kg of Easter eggs for a whopping 395 pounds.
The eggs made at the cafe's famous Harrogate home are 55cm tall and contain more than 5km of chocolate.
Betis says that the handmade, handmade milk chocolate Grande Star Eggs continue a tradition dating back to more than a century when founder Frederick Belmont designed gorgeously decorated eggs with hand-carved icing designs.
I recommend reading:
The spokesman continued: “Grand Dei Star Eggs, which includes over 5kg of Grand Crew Swiss chocolate made from precious Venezuelan Cliolo cocoa beans, showcases the best skills of chocolatiers and cake decorators.
“Each Grande Easter egg has delicate and individually made spring flowers and leaves, such as primrose, narcissy, and pansies, and hand-carved stems as the perfect touch.”
Bettys Chocolatiers have created a smaller version with the exact same ingredients, skills and attention to detail.
The UK's second most expensive egg comes from the gorgeous chocolatier Cocoba, which is thought to be at 225 pounds and weighs 4kg.
