York has recently been near perfect in front of goal, earning 17 in his final four games. This includes a 7-2 victory at Aldershottown last Saturday.
After City succumbed to a frustrating 2-1 defeat at Braintree Town, Hinshelwood intended to clarify the post-match match and raise pressure from the players' shoulders.
This has been fruitful so far, with York winning four wins in the Trot and finding welcoming momentum ahead of a potential playoff push.
Hinshelwood enjoys looking at his side play more fluidly, but hopes that players will continue to intend to manage clean seats.
“Since Braintree, we've been working on our style, so we've been working on being a little more fluid,” Hinshelwood told Press.
“We've been playing to the structure, but when we reach the final third, we hope there's a little more freedom for the fullback to get in and create an overload.
“We want the attackers to have a little more freedom and flexibility, and I think it really shines.
“At the same time, we are a team that wants to keep a clean sheet, so we want to continue with that record.
“We don't want to be stuck at 19 at the end of the season, we want to have as many people on the board as possible.
“I think it's nice to have half of the game featured to have a clean sheet, and to do that, I think it has to be perfect by now and the end of the season.
“There are a lot of internal targets for us to set up, but we really want to focus on both ends of the game.
“It was really fun to see us playing with that fluidity, especially in the last third of that.”
York's recent talent in front of goals has been helped by the depth of their impressive strength, with Aldershot manager Tommy Widlington saying, “I think they have the best offensive power in the department, not just in the individual, but in the way they do it.”
Dipo Akinyemi suffered injuries early in the season, Callum Harriott also left the club for personal reasons, the city was impressively recruiting, Lewis Richardson won a brace last Saturday, and Junior Amba continued to cause problems.
Hinshelwood was pleased with the impact of York's attack options and spoke about the multiple dynamics available to him.
He continued.
“I always thought he could have this kind of influence, so he's been annoying me to play with its left side.
“He had the opportunity to do that and he really wasn’t looking back, he was really good.
“Lewis was really good, so there are juniors and ties who can play there.
“Some real offensive options, Lenny (Rennel John Lewis) and Stonesey (Josh Stones) also have Ollie (Pearce) that can play the middle and play a little deeper.
“There are a lot of options that I really enjoy.
“Along with the wide player a few months ago, we highlighted that the position was a little lower.
“We've done really well to identify and participate in two great wide players for us.”
