I recently received the Hoover HF4 Hydro for review. A cordless stick vacuum cleaner with an anti-tangle cylinder and a removable mop function.
There's a lot of good in this vacuum, from the trivial (more on that later) to the big deals. Let's talk about the big deal first. First, it has great suction power and comes with all the usual interchangeable toys, including a regular vacuum cleaner head, a small brush, and a crevice tool.
A special feature of this vacuum cleaner is its mop function. The mop is another replaceable head on the vacuum cleaner, consisting of two rotating microfiber discs and a triangular disc that goes into the corner. You can also get a second set of discs to use when cleaning the first disc. Oh, and a bottle of floor cleaner.
This is a game changer and does an excellent job of mopping floors effortlessly. I have a standalone electric floor mop that I've always loved, but it's really two-in-one and takes up much less space, so I decided to list it on Facebook Marketplace. It's planned. The water tank is located on the top of the mop head and can be easily removed to fill it with water.
Very flexible, gets into every nook and cranny and does a truly great job. What else do we like? The parts are very sturdy to begin with, and the main vacuum head is easy to disassemble and put back together when you inevitably vacuum things that shouldn't be vacuumed. (I'm looking at you Lego).
It's cordless so it's easy to carry. It comes with wall hanging hardware, so you can hang it on the wall or cupboard. Don't forget to charge your battery. Some models come with two batteries, but honestly, one is enough as long as you charge it after each use.
There are two filters in the main part of the vacuum cleaner that can be cleaned.
The vacuum also has three different intensity settings. I always prefer to vacuum on maximum strength. This will consume more battery time, but it feels like a more efficient use of your time. In the photo below you can see the green bar (it's actually solid, but it's the camera's fault that it doesn't look that way). The green bar indicates the remaining battery power, and the windmill type icon indicates the strength of the suction.
Overall, this is a powerful and useful vacuum cleaner that is lightweight and easy to use, and also comes with the great bonus of a mop.
We were sent to review the Hoover HF4 Hydro and, as always, all opinions expressed are my own.
