In Division One, struggling Rosedale traveled to fast-rising Thornton Dale in search of a valuable point to help them escape the pit of relegation.
Thornton himself was looking to build on his excellent season, which currently ranks him in second place.
After a shaky start, it was the hosts who broke the deadlock when top scorer Morgan Elfun triggered the offside trap, turned around goalkeeper Matty Gardner and fired the ball into an empty net in trademark style. Ta.
And soon after, it was almost double trouble for the Dalesmen as Elf tried to repeat their earlier feat but was correctly ruled offside.
However, this was the wake-up call Rosedale needed as they fought back, winning a corner kick from Alistair Wilkinson's tenacity in the box. It paid off immediately, with Wilkinson taking over the scoring baton in a big way this season, leveling the score with a powerful header at his near post.
The visitors maintained their lead in the second half and took the lead with Jonathan Seller scoring an unmarked goal at the far post after his cross hit the bar and went off course.
Rosedale went for the all-important third goal to end the game, but the hosts were no more generous and were looking for at least one reply.
However, the visiting team's defense was solid and they snatched the much-needed three points back from Rosedale.
Slingsby entertained Fishburne Park at freezing Church Lane in their only Division Two game.
It was Fishburne who scored Will Blake's opening goal, but James Thordon was quick to respond for the hosts.
However, Anthony Taylor put Slingsby ahead at the interval and Thordon's second goal of the game widened the advantage early in the second half.
Blake scored his second goal late on and Fishburne looked to be on the cusp of a fightback, but Luke Dawson sealed Slingsby's fourth goal in the final minute to end the game.
There was a six-goal thriller in the Victory Cup, where Goal Sport brought Sneinton to George Pinder.
Brad Cawkwell's goal within the first 10 minutes gave the hosts an early lead, but Tom Fletcher-Valley ensured Sninton had the lead at half-time.
However, the visitors took control in the second half and Cawkwell's second goal was only a consolation, with goals from Josh Lewis, Liam Mintoft and Rafal Jakow.
