What will Christmas at Castle Howard be like for you?
Excitingly busy! I will focus on providing a gourmet experience that matches the stunning decorations and story of an Alice in Wonderland Christmas experience in your home. We will begin to realize many of the concepts we have planned throughout the year. It's really special to be a part of your visitors' Christmas memories.

What is your most vivid childhood memory of Christmas food?
Boxing Day was spent at Nana and Grandpa's house, there was lots of food! Grab a bite to eat at brunch, where a traditional roast is served family style on the huge oval dining table, and end your day with a great buffet and snacks.
Where will you be on Christmas Day and how will you celebrate?
Enjoy the festival at home with your family.
Christmas meals can be eaten anywhere, but where do you go?
A white Christmas is guaranteed no matter where you are in the world. I'm imagining a log cabin in the woods with a bonfire burning.
What kitchen tools should every home cook have?
A tomato knife is a very versatile and useful little tool.
What food do you think is essential for a festive table?
A Yorkshire-bred pork wrapped in a blanket!
What are some tips every home cook should know this Christmas?
Prepare in advance and spread the work over several days. Cut everything, peel it and prepare it for Christmas Day. The roast can be boiled the day before and placed on a nice dripping tray, and all the root vegetables are ready to be placed on a tray covered with honey and thyme and popped into the bottom of the oven. That day.
Who would attend your fantasy Christmas dinner party and what would they eat?
It's the whole family. Everyone comes from all over the country. Including the goose and all the decorations, it will be a wonderful festive feast.
Who is your Yorkshire food and drink hero?
Andrew Pern and Stephen Smith at the Star Inn at Harome have not only trained me and made me into the chef I am today, but also raised the flag for world-class Yorkshire gastronomy. And of course, Timothy Taylor drinks good beer!
Nathan's favorite dish
