Easingwold's Newcastle Joinery Limited (NJL) has been acquired by KWC Group.
NJL's products include beds, shower pods in cells, and video conferencing booths that allow inmates to speak with their attorneys.
Clients include Prisons and Probation Services, Young Offenders Institutions (YOIs), Immigration Removal Centers (IRCs), police forces, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and the Ministry of Defense (MOD).

Founded in Switzerland in 1874, the KWC Group is known for its specialized toilets and water management systems. We operate in the UK, Europe and the United Arab Emirates.
As part of the acquisition, NJL CEO and founder Jamie Greenwood will remain with the business and work with KWC Group's senior leadership team to support its next phase of growth.
Mr. Greenwood, who founded the company in the 1990s, said: “This merger will significantly increase our marketing power for our already well-known products and services and enable us to further develop this rapidly growing market. ” he said.

Tax and audit firm RSM UK Ltd advised on the transaction, with Leeds law firm Ward Hadaway providing legal advice.
