Malton-based Zetechtics Ltd has won the 2024 King's Award for International Trading Enterprise.
The award recognized the company's six years of continuous growth in international sales.
Zetechtics is one of 252 organizations nationwide to be recognized at this year's awards.
The company achieved over 2,000% growth in international trade in six years.
International sales increased from 5% in the first year to 51% in the sixth year, with Brazil and the Netherlands becoming the main markets.
The company announced the creation of Zetechtics do Brasil Ltda in 2022, after supplying Jupiter products to the Brazilian market for more than 10 years.
The public was informed of the award in May 2024, followed by a reception attended by the King at Windsor Castle in July.
The award was presented to Zetechtics Chairman Tim Overfield by County Lord Joe Ropner on November 29, 2024 at the company's Amazabee premises.
The formal presentation ceremony was attended by Deputy Lieutenant David Kerfoot CBE DL, Councilor Lindsay Barr, Deputy Mayor of Malton, Councilor Roberta Sweers, Chairman of North Yorkshire Council and Zetechtics staff.
Before the ceremony, dignitaries were given a tour of the building and an overview of the products.
“This is a great honor for Zetechtics and something we are all extremely proud of,” Overfield said.
“Our team's hard work and dedication during this period of growth has led to this recognition.
“Being locally based doesn’t stop a business from going global, and we’re incredibly grateful to all of our customers in the UK and around the world.”
Zetechtics was founded in Kirkby Moorside in 1993 by Tim Overfield.
The company specializes in subsea control systems and won the Queen's Award for Innovation in Business in 2003.
The company is a manufacturer of subsea control equipment and tools for the global marine energy industry.
