Callum Hudson, 17, who plays for Scarborough Athletic Reserves, secured his spot after passing his final trials earlier this month.
They could be on the field as early as this weekend, with Schoolboys taking on Wales in Cardiff today.
The young centre-back runs in the family, with father Chris and grandfather John plying with local clubs Old Malton, Pickering Town, Harrogate Town and York City Reserves, and as far away as Norway. He even has a deal with Larvik Football.
Callum first broke into the sport with Brooklyn Under-7s, where he was coached by his father, before being picked up by York City's academy aged 11.
He was released by Minstermen after three years and then joined Scarborough, moving through the age groups and winning the Under-19 Player of the Season award in 2022-23.
The youngster broke into the reserve team last season and was back in the spotlight by winning the Coach's Player of the Year award in his debut season.
He continued his upward trajectory and broke into the Sea Dogs' first team for the first time last month against Curzon Ashton in the Vanarama National League North.
“I'm really happy to have made the full squad. Especially in the final trials, there were 16 centre-backs, so the competition was tough!” Callum enthused.
“We are now looking forward to our first game against Wales in Cardiff on November 29th.
“I am confident that there will be ups and downs and further challenges ahead.
“I am grateful to the club and am focused on building my career at Scarborough.”
Scarborough Athletic Reserve Team Manager Paul Exley added:
“It's great to see players develop through our youth system and reserve team and progress to the England U18 Schoolboys team.
“Cal is a great young man who works hard and has the right attitude. With those attributes, I think he will go far.”
