Emily said: “It has been a privilege to lead an organization through growth and change over the past decade. During this time, I am humbled to see God's hands working with thousands of children and adults saying I have experienced hope through counseling sessions at Well Spring.
“For the past decade, Wellspring has moved to a brand new home in Starbeck. We have seen an increase in counseling sessions from 60 to 150 per week. We have established new labor partnerships with schools and organizations. We have created new services, including a professional training program and seeing expanded work to Bradford and York through the Wellspring Counseling Centre.
“I feel really blessed to be part of this job and part of an organization that places people at the heart of all decisions. I am passionate about the work of WellSpring and will continue to be a part of the WellSpring family.”
Emley explained that the reason for her departure was to allow her to spend more time with her two children, Oscar and Poppy.
She said: “I would like to thank all the teams who have worked with me over the past decade. Wellspring is dependent on volunteers and we are blessed with so many talented people giving time in a variety of ways. Without these people, it really doesn't exist. I would also like to thank our clients who have chosen to trust us in our most vulnerable things and encouraged others to continue asking for help.”
“Well Spring's Board of Trustees is a great opportunity to see the world,” said John Wood, chairman of WellSpring's board of trustees. Since she began her efforts, dedication and kindness have shined on everything she has achieved.
“Emily's leadership in the development of the Church's Counseling Centre model has impacted charities across Harrogate districts and on Bradford and York. We are pleased to report that these centres are thriving. Thanks to Emily's work with Cinamon Trust, there is a model that supports people over the years.
“We received great support from Emily, so we formed a successful partnership based on mutual respect and trust. The trustees cherished Emily's wisdom and created differences, faith and compassion.
Emily will be handed over to Nick Garrett, who was the interim CEO of Well Springs for the past 12 months.
