The fog is covering parts of the country this morning
Most of Greater Manchester are awakened to weather warnings as thick fog hit the area this morning (March 26th).
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning overnight covering parts of Northwest, Yorkshire and East Anglia.
The alert will take effect at 4:01am and will continue until 10am today. It covers most of the major Manchesters, including cities, Salford, Trafford, Wigan, Bolton, Berry, Rochdale, Stockport and the Thamesside.
In these areas, Met Offices say the fog can be densely packed in the location, leading to some delays in travel.
The warning covers many of Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside as well as much of North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and East Anglia.
In these areas, Met Offices warn that buses, trains and flights can all be hit by weather delays or cancellations.
A Met Office spokesperson added: “The fog area is densely packed in the location, reducing visibility to less than 100m, leading to delays in travel. The fog is lifted up in the morning and cleared.”
Manchester predicts a cloudy start before the cloud breaks with clear intervals starting at 9am.
A clear skies are expected from the late afternoon, with Met Offices forecasting the city's 15c high and 7c forecast.
