The Met Office has issued a weather warning for York for both Saturday 23 November and Sunday 24 November.
In their warning, they said: “Heavy snow is expected to fall on Saturday, then melt rapidly, leading to rain on Saturday night, potentially causing disruption.
Recommended books:
“Rain will spread to the north-east on Saturday before snow falls in parts of northern England and Scotland.
“While snow will become increasingly confined to higher ground over time, some areas may see snow falling to lower ground at times, particularly in places such as the York Valley, where it could potentially accumulate as much as 5 to 10 centimeters. Yes, it's back to the rain.
York will be hit by snow and rain, while coastal areas in the north-east will be hit by Storm Bart, the second named storm of the season.
