The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a yellow warning for wind and rain for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (December 6-8).
Both strong winds and heavy rain are forecast from 3pm on Friday to 6am on Sunday, and the Met Office said this could cause disruption.

In a warning, the Japan Meteorological Agency said: “Road, rail, air and ferry services will be affected, with a slight possibility of longer journey times and/or flight cancellations, including blown roof tiles. There is a slight possibility that some damage may occur to the building.” .
“There is a small chance that homes and businesses may be flooded and some damage may occur. Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.”
They also warned of possible power outages, flooding and road and bridge closures.
River levels in York currently remain low but may rise if heavy rainfall occurs later this week.
